- David C. Hancock trained in Italy under British portraitist Michael John Angel. Hancock ascribes to the classical tradition of painting, which upholds traditional tenets of taste, aesthetics, and craftsmanship. He gleans much of his inspiration from the Italian master painters of the Renaissance and 19th century Academies. Hancock believes art is about sharing & enjoys the magic of bringing people to life through portraiture.
