The 2002 Art of the Portrait will be held in Philadelphia, PA from April 4 - 7, 2002. The Founder's Award will be be awarded to Jamie Wyeth.

Where could I find out about entries deadlines etc for many groups?

Many groups? I don't really know about many, just ASOPA and PSA (or PSOA not sure). There is information on the PSA web site for competition entries: http://www.portraitsociety.org. I do happen to know the PSA deadline is February 28. Not sure what the ASOPA one is.
