Judson, This peace has grate potential. The face is just the tip I too would love to try ant paint.Even though you have all the details established I think it is a bit to premature but this is no biggie. This stage will help you better see what works and what needs adjusting. First thing I would do is soften the forehead and hair line. Next, I would better establish the form of the nose. It must be 3D looking no matter what. You can better establish this by darkening his left side using approximate hue/color. Than when you have that lets have a look.
