Looking for Step by Step Graphics magazine
Hi!
I am interested in purchasing some of the past issues of Step by Step Graphics mag, the ones that featured the series of articles "Learning From Masters". (Those ones from late 80s and early 90s are rather hard to find.) I managed to find a couple of past issues from Bud Plant's sister company, but I'd like to get some more. The publisher of SBSG has only the most recent ones in stock (from 1999 and 2000).
I couldn't find anything interesting on Ebay, as well.
I live in Europe and locating the source of past issues of US mags is not that easy from here, despite the Internet.
I wonder if somebody has (or know someone who has) those issues and perhaps wish to sell 'em? Or he/she might know the place were I could purchase those old issues, provided the price tags are reasonable...?
I know that many people keep those mags and are not willing to part with any of them, so I'd appreciate scans, as well. There are great illustrators whose art is very hard to find (in printed form) in Europe like Brad Holand, Gary Kelley, Jim CoConis, Bernie Fuchs, David Levine, Barron Storey, Malcolm Liepke, Syd Mead, Christopher Fox Payne...
Thanx in advance,
Valentino

Hi Valentino -
go to
http://www.alibris.com
and do a search. I found some there, including some from the 90's. If you check out used book dealers like this, you might find what you're looking for. Best of luck....

Julie, thank you for your input. I found out that few of the US used book dealers actually ship their items to Croatia, Europe. And when they do, the air mail S+H costs often double the total price of the items (depending on the weight). Alibris does not ship their own items outside US and Canada.
Amazon sellers, for instance, ship their stuff only to 25 countries.
(I don't have problems with ordering in-stock items on Amazon, but am not able to order used books for the mentioned reason.)
