Sargent/Sorolla exhhibition and Jules Bastien Lepage exhibition

All
I am in Paris right now for 2 shows of a LIFETIME!

The Sargent and Sorolla show is second to none! At the Petite Palais museum.
Lady Agnew is here.... NEED I SAY MORE!!!!!

The Lepage exhibit is wonderful retrospective of his work. This is at the Musee D'Orsey.

There is a group of about 30 artists from California here now. We are having a blast.
We just returned from Nancy, France to visit the Musee de Beaux Arts to see the amazing Emile Friant's, Bouveret and Prouvet. Fantastic.

If you are a serious artist, and need some serious stimulation, GET OUT HERE TO THESE SHOWS!
Au Revior!
Tony

Tony, thanks for the heads up! We will be in London on March 22-23 and we were planning to see the Sargents at the Tate. Do you know whether any were borrowed from the Tate for this show? I certainly don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You will be able to see borth of them, the show Sargent show is over in May.

They have "Coventry Patmore" which is from the National Portrait Gallery in London but not sure if they borrowed anything from the Tate.
It's only $85 roundrtrip from London to hit Paris.... worth the day trip!!!!

Yes thanks for that Tony. I just bought the Sargent/Sorolla book today at the European Fine Art Fair and plan to see the show in April.

I saw an Emile Friant at the fair--amazing artist!

Thanks for the tip! I am going in April, I don't want to miss this opportunity to see their work live.
