"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" drawing

While 'Mac' (Jack Nicholson) and the mute 'Chief' (Will Sampson) wait to get electro-shock therapy for brawling in the 1975 movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", Chief talks. This 8x10 drawing of the movie scene was commissioned by a customer. Compared to the original movie scene, I moved Mac's shadow on the wall in between the characters for balance, and I drew Mac much darker than Chief to foreshadow Mac's darker days ahead. Spoiler alert . . . Mac gets lobotomized by the psych hospital at the end. Saddened, Chief suffocates Mac out of kindness and then escapes by the same plan Mac had at the beginning of the movie. Wow. Heavy! I used a Blackwing pencil which is 4B on Canson pure-white paper.
