Demob, C+C welcomed

I wouldn't mind hearing a critique of this one, which is a lot more textured than my usual (acrylics and pastels)
It was taken from a B+W demob photo
Thanks

Hi Margaret,

I really like the feel: I can almost feel the texture of the skin on the right side. However, the unfinished ear on the left side detracts, in my opinion.

H Margaret, first the feel as Julie has stated looks good. I like your use of value and choice of hue. Now to the good stuff the eyes seem a touch small compared to the size of the face, next the bottom lip on the shadow side our left looks like he has a fat lip, next the ear in shadow has sharp attracting points for it to be in shadow.

I hope this helps
