Garth-

I am slow - I just now found this thread and I thought good golly, Garth has done it again.

Congratulations and good luck and I'll see you in DC.

Garth,

Well, you have "Flabbered" my "Gast" again!!! I am just blown away at your flawless execution of tone and form! My gosh.

I would also like to note and as many here would agree, you are also so very willing to share your gifts and "secrets" with us in this completely non-pompous style, it's uncanny. (not that anybody on this forum is pompous) In fact I'll hazard a guess that you've been accused in your life of being "too nice" to be a highfaluting success. Haha! Then watch, you will probably quietly march into history as one of the best that ever was.

Keep them coming my good man!

Tooooooo Kind!

Gosh Geary,

Do you have any idea how my head has been swelling up as of late? (I am taking massive doses of Tylenol to cope.) Thanks for all the kind words but I plan to remain as Garth, the humble-wannabe.

Garth

Enzie,

Thanks so much. All I can say about the secret to these illusions is that the more I fussed within the subtle nuances of each passage, the more the materials, surfaces, and fabrics became defined in their weight and textures. It all seems to boil down to observation, the scale of the folds, undulations, and ripples. The heavier fabric has broader fold transitions, and a dull sheen, while the silk is more sharp, changeable, and shiny, which implies a weight difference.

David,

Among all those I hope to finally encounter from this Forum, I am truly looking forward to meeting you. Since joining here, I have been completely spelbound by your talent. Bring your portfolio!

I am not really playing favorites; I hope everyone else shares their portfolios too. I can't wait.

Thanks Carlos! I wish we all were closer to Madrid (and a host of inspiring and wonderful destinations).

Darn, Terri!

I wish you could come down to D.C.! If you are ever in my area, I will try to make some arrangements.

Thanks for all your kindness!
