Wow, Terri, what a wonderful portrait. Such incredible realism. And I admire & appreciate portraitists like yourself that can paint hands well.

Sincerely,

Dear Terri,

This is a truly breathtaking and stunning achievement; and for the record, your Corgi is better than mine! Like Alex has expressed so well, the dog really does define and frame the sweetness of the boy. Your portrait is doubly rich with the interaction of the two personas.

Garth

Enzie - Thank you!

Thanks Richard... The hands on this one were one of those things, they sort of happened. (and then I was just smart enough to leave them alone. )

Thank you Garth/Jerome!

Mr. Herrick . . . First, thanks so much!!! About those Corgi's -- but your Corgi is just perfect! And perfectly suited to the painting. I can't imagine my husky Corgi (Eddy) complimenting your Jane so well as Iona. Howsabout we just say that each Corgi seems suited to it's master?

Thanks again everyone!

Terri,

This is just terrific! I'm partial to Corgi's, as I have one myself. The flesh tones are beautiful and the pup looks perfect. Just a beautiful portrait.

Thanks Alicia!
I've got to agree with you that Corgi's are darn cute. . . we've got a boxer girl, but after seeing this little guy my son's been saying he wants a Corgi when he grows up.
