I'm sorry, I misread the frontispiece and thought it said that Parkhurst was a student of a student of Bouguereau. I apologize for any misconceptions that I inadvertently caused.

It seems the misleading information about Mr. Parkhurst actually comes from the original post of this thread.

Per your suggestion, I checked my source, and will duplicate it here for clarification.

I doubt the chairman at ARC got it wrong, and it does remain, an interesting read. Follow the link in the original post if you need further research.
