So no one particularly liked the last one of the girl from today? It's slightly creepy in a Blair Witch Project sort of way....but I'm personally really drawn to this one. As a figurative of course - no one would pay me to paint them looking like this. Im just in love with the vines outside that window and the peeling paint. I seem to be finding I am drawn to real old-looking wood or other textures in the backgrounds. I was at this gorgeous hotel downtown and managed to find one back hallway that wasn't newly painted.

Ms. Dow of the Davis Mountains,

I too like the girl with the scarf on her head. I did a couple like that last year.

As I look at it I wonder if it wouldn't be more powerful without the sleeve on her arm? To me it adds an unnecessary, and unexplained component to what could be a dynamite red green color balance.

My condolences regarding your rooster. I've also suffered a recent loss. I found Puffy, my pet blow fish, dead on the beach this weekend. I had brought him all the way from Tulsa. It was his dream to return to the sea (gulf). I suppose like myself, all those years in captivity had made him soft.

Mr. McCarty-beachcomber-

Your right - that arm doesnt need to be there, good call. My sincere condolences on your friend. Umm, is that ice on him? He looks frozen. You didn't pack him in ice for the trip did you?

Mary - thank you! Someone HAD to agree with me.

I think the hand could be a nice touch, only without the material sleeve.

I let him ride in the gas tank on the way down. He never seemed the same after that.
