Oil on New Traditions Art Panel, L-600 linen. 24" x 18".

In this painting, I used value to design a NW to SE diagonal in the foliage, to counterbalance the opposing direction of the figure. In addition the placement and shapes of the cast shadows on the stucco wall work to direct the eye.

The gestural form in the pose of this young woman (I think) shows her quiet confidence and serenity.
