Stacy,

I really don't know. I know nothing! The producers told my husband last night that we should not have the press over on Monday night because that episode is "heart wrenching...), and they are afraid of our reaction.

Whoa...

Steven, You know, they don't make the participants promise to do anything, which is kind of weird in a way for these kind of show.

They don't have to get engaged, get married, live with each other for a year, live with each other for a week, they don't get a million dollars, a hundred thousand dollars, a trip to Japan.

They basically get nothing, and have nothing promised to them if they win. So what exactly do they win? I haven't figured that out yet. At the end of the show, Melala doesn't even have to DATE the guy that wins, let alone marry him.

But she doesn't have to eat worms, so it's not so bad.

The ones who get rejected can go on "Queer eye for the average Joe", then see how the new improved contestants fare in competing for a different woman.

I'm not sure how John qualified for this show. He seems like more of a catch than most of the others*. Let's face it, if Jeff Fuchs can catch a classy, intelligent woman, how hard can it be?

*Disclaimer: I only watched the first few minutes. I tuned out shortly after John was introduced. Still, he made a good impression.

Congratulations Peggy!

I do, however, have a petty gripe about these 'Average Joes': It appears most of them, your son included, are not really 'average' at all, but are in fact, very handsome young men. Since it's supposed to be an average guy wooing the Prom Queen, why do none of the supposedly 'Average Joes' look like myself, Jeff Fuchs, or maybe Steven Sweeney?

Perhaps we could audition for 'Scarey Joe'?

Minh
