Juan --

After reading your comments (here and elsewhere) about vanDyke brown, I did a pearl dive for the tube I was sure I had somewhere (because someone told me some years ago to use it for something, I've forgotten now), and it didn't specify any content, pigment or binder. I figured "who needs this grief?" and I chucked the whole tube. Wasteful, I guess, but even to give it away seemed like a dirty trick. After reading Virgil's cautionary notes about alizarin crimson as well, I guess I won't be using an old but full tube of that either, but I'll feel less guilty about handing that over to someone, as it's a genuine fugitive and not a mere runaway. Odd ethic I suppose. (I'm using strictly permanent alizarin crimson now.)

BTW, your website looks great. I know you say you're into figure and imaginative work, but your still-lifes are extremely masterful as well.

Cheers,
Steven
