My own little critique:

When I view this painting. my eyes go directly to her face, her eyes and expression. I was worried a bit about the strong reds in the background. Where I initally thought your eye would be directed to that color. But it works. To my eye anyway, the red is an indication of this persons fiery spirit, but does not take away from the portrait face.

I do believe I could have removed some of that strong edge of her shoulders jacket. That seems to be a bit more harsh now that I look at it. I would have liked to have soften that up.

Her hair is a mass of white. It seems to work with this painting, but if there are any suggestions for softening up white hair, I would be glad to hear them.

Any critique would be benenficial to me. I am here to continue learning.
