My name is Patti Jo, and I am fairly new here, and haven't had much of a chance to post. I saw you have studied at the NY Art Students League with Jack Faragasso! I studied with him at Scottsdale Artist School for 5 days, and am still learning from it, and that was in 1988, I believe!! I won one of the first scholarships that they gave, and he was the teacher they put me in with. I had never heard of him at the time, but, he is great! I learned so much, which at the time was way beyond me. But, as I said, I am still learning from him. And that was after only 5 days - I can only imagine what you learned there in 4 years!
I also studied with Robert Abbott, Donald Putman, and won my 2nd scholarship with my hero, Tom Darro, all at Scottsdale, as well as with Jessica Zempsky, Jack Hines, Jan Kuntz and others at workshops.
These workshops are the best thing I ever did regarding my art training, as I feel the biggest thing I learned in 3 years in the Art Department in Community College was discipline! If I didn't do the work because I wasn't in the "mood", I didn't get a grade. And, I still owe a tremendous amount of money for that!
