Rebecca,

Good luck on the show, you must be talking about "Hot August Nights". I was in it the last two years. Did very well two years ago. I was at La Carretta and I sold 5 paintings. Last year I was at I-55 and had a lot of lookers, but no buyers. Good luck. Very sorry to hear about your dog, is he (she) ok. I know you live out in the country, but I hate to see dogs running loose out there. They just are targets for the cars and trucks. Hope all is well. I may see you tomorrow night, where will you be?

Alicia,

I will be across the street from the Columbia Theater (Irma Thomas will be there!) I will just be set up for one night, but it will be good exposure. I don't think I am going to have but a couple of non portrait things there. I really just want to pick up a couple of commissions. The month of September the Hammond Art Guild is having a show at the Hammond Regional Arts Center. I will have three pieces there as well. Hopefully I will have the painting for this picture done in time, but I doubt it.

By the way my lab is going to be fine. She is nine years old and has never been on the road, but there was a big dog from across the street that got loose and was in my yard. My children were outside and she ran over to come between them and the dog. She then chased it back across the street. That is the second time she saved my children. The first involved a big water mocassin last year! It was two feet away from my baby! What a dog!

Hope to see you tomorrow!

Rebecca

I just learned how to alter my photos with Photoshop also. I particularly like the watercolor filter, and the underpainting filter. It helps me to see the underlying details and not get overwhelmed with the details too early.
