Epiphany

I'm producing a video about a girl named Epiphany. She travels from town to town in a box car and gets in trouble wherever she goes. She also sees herself in a painting on the wall wherever she goes. Epiphany, AKA Mary, is a 16 year old stage actress.

This is a 20 x16 oil on linen which will be part of the video along with some stills from our progress so far.

The video mentioned above is now complete. It was produced for a grant challenge sponsored by www.celtx.com, which offers software for writers.

The rules were to create a "trailer" or "tease" video for a movie or TV series not more than 10 minutes long. Mine squeaks in at exactly 10:00.

The painting above was rushed for the deadline and ended up looking more like a watercolor. I may go back over it and give it a bit more character.

This production was completed for well under $100 and with the exception of Mary, AKA Epiphany, who has done some stage acting, no one had any acting experience, or video, or editing, or sound, or lighting experience. It was an interesting challenge for me. I may give this movie making another go.
