Triptych on ABS?

I know there are only a couple of artists here who use ABS - but if they happen to catch this, I'd like some suggestions.

I want to paint a tryptych on ABS. I usually use 1/4" thickness. I may have to go thinner because of the weight, but for now Im going to assume I'll use my regular thickness.

How could I go about attaching these?

The only thing I could come up with it to have a custom frame built around all three together when it is completed.

Might there be a better way?

Of course they could always hang side by side...I guess I want to see what other options there might be.
