Thoughts on your Drawing

Hello,

It looks like you had a lot of fun with the color! I like the cool blues and over-all feel. It is a very expressive piece. The beard is thoughtfully drawn and I like the roundness of the hat. The warm colors on his nose and face add a nice contrast to the cools around him.

I think the edge where the shadow of the hat meets the forehead is a little soft. I find the lost forehead a bit distracting from the rest of your careful rendering.

I always enjoy taking a break from painting and trying new mediums. Pastels are a lot of fun to use and it looks like you enjoyed them.
