The event is just over tonight, so no one would be home yet. From the forum, the attendees I know about are Peggy, Baumgaertner, Karin Wells, Michele Rushworth, Daniel Arredendo and Virgil Elliott.
Three SOG artists were in the finals: Virgil Elliott, Marvin Mattelson and Mary French.
Other SOG artists attending were Wendy McArthur, Steve Childs, Nancy Stember, Michel Delafontaine, Shelley Stansfield, Madeleine Moriarty, John Kittrell and Cathey Cadeiux.

The conference was great, in my opinion. One of the best parts was meeting some of the other SOG artists in person.
I had been to the Metropolitan Museum of Art many times before but never to specifically study the portraits. Being able to do so this time will, I hope, make my work much better in the future.
As for conference events, I particularly enjoyed hearing Nelson Shanks talk about striving to capture the important and eternal themes in our portraits. He reminded us that each portrait must be made to stand on its own merits as a work of art, not just to record a likeness of a particular person.
Other than that, there were countless ideas on technique and marketing. I highly recommend attending next year!
