Hi Mike,

I have found printers very happy to print the full negative frame...you get proportionately more white space along the long edge, but they have all been happy to do it. Just tell them what you want. I agree it's aggravating to have less than you need! Still, you will always face the task of working the composition to a canvas...it never ends.

Chris

P. S. Gorgeous photo, post the painting when you have finished it!

That's it, I'm moving to Arizona. Did you notice the ring in this girls eyebrow? It gave me the willies. She wouldn't take it out. It may be this next one that gets the nod. I think I'm partial to the one in black. What would be your preference?

Hi Mike,
These are wonderful photos! I'm definitely partial to the photo in black. She seems to have more "attitude" in her expression, I love the lighting, and the eyebrow ring isn't so "in your face" - no pun intended.

Great photos; I love how the lit hair frames her face. I vote for the black one, too. Does anyone on this forum ever post the whole demo of a painting? This one I'd love to see, and you've got a great start with such a clear and well-lit photo. I think it's interesting to see what decisions the painter makes as the work evolves, maybe a new forum subject, like "works in progress".
