Self-portrait in new glasses

Hi
well, new glasses are essential here since for the first time I am able to paint myself in almost frontal light without having to fight all these terrible reflections
I painted in two values first (shadow, light), I find this method really helpful, will be practicing more...
Oil on canvas, 12x10in, 3 sittings.
I want to improve so I'd appreciate critiques.

Thank you,
Ursula

Love it.

I had started a portrait of myself with new glasses a while back and in all honesty, think it is really valuable to document ourselves as painters and as subjects. Great excuse for a self-portrait and really well executed.

I agree w/dj --this is gorgeous!

Could maybe soften that one edge where your neck meets the shirt collar at the right... but really, overall -- Spectacular! (and very definite likeness too, judging by your avatar

Thank you Debra and Terri for nice comments, I must say I'm quite happy with the result too.
Terri: thanks for advice, good point. I'll make the neck line a bit softer there
