Measuring




Can anyone tell me the name(s) of one or more artists who actuallly measured their models.

I read, somewhere, about one (or more?) artists who would walk up to their model(s) with a caliper or other measuring device to obtain accurate measurements. Anyone know who that/they were?

James Wyeth used calipers for measuring in his portraits.
