For this Glorious Day

On this glorious day, I would like to share with everyone a "detail" image of a mural I did, The Holy Trinity of St. Francis.

The mural is 5' x 12' and located at St. Francis of Asissi Catholic Church in Derwood of Maryland.

The full image can be seen on my web site.

Happy Easter everyone.

Dan,

The poses look so real. Do you use live models for your work?

Poses

Thank you. Yes the models were real. In fact, the model for the Virgin Mary is the pianist at St Francis.

Here is the photo shoot I did with her.

Also I have attached one of the images here

Dan,

Thankyou for sharing those links. One gets a feel for the community atmosphere that exists at your church with the pianist posing for you. Is there also a mural of St. Frances, Moses and Elijah?

St. Frances, Moses and Elijah

The full image of the mural on the St. Francis project page has St. Francis to the bottom right of the Father.

Moses is located in the clouds on the left, with Elijah in the clouds on the right. Oddly enough, most adults can not find the figures in the clouds. However, most children can see "the old guys" in the clouds.

Here is the link again.

I have included another image, Behold My Son, 30" x 40", oil on canvas.

Dan,

I like the way you put the holy men in the clouds. Both paintings are awe-inspiring.
