Delft, etc.

Peter,

Thanks for posting the Delft view and the thread on the old painters section with the other Delft photos. The panorama really gives a good perspective on the scale of the town. I've wanted to visit the Netherlands for a long time now. We almost made it there in 1991, but ran out of time in France. My wife was there in the early 70's and says I'd love it.

We have a friend, Rob VanderSchoor, who's an artist/painter from Amsterdam. We met about ten years ago when he was in the San Francisco area. We kept in contact for quite a while, but I haven't heard from him in a year or two. He had a show at the Braunstein/Quay Gallery in S.F. in 1994 or thereabouts and I provided a place for them to stay and logistical support (storing paintings, transportation, etc.). I also met with him in Los Angeles in 1997/98 when I was picking up some pieces from a show there and he was in town. He's had shows in a lot of galleries in the U.S. in places like Denver, Hot Springs, Ark., Memphis, New Orleans. He might be a good person to know if you're interested in exhibition possibilities in the U.S. Let me know if you're interested and I'll try to contact him. He travels a lot, but seems to always return to his house in Amsterdam. Or maybe you know him already?

Cheers!
