Little fox dog




I did my best to get my little friend on paper with pastels and I am pretty satisfied with the result. As always there will be some things I didn't see, or did wrong. So let your sharp eye give me some input.

Kris,

When I first saw the title of this thread, thought I was going to see a fox hound! My father was an avid fox hunter and we had at least 10 to 15 at any given time. This little guy is a cutie, though.

OK, to the critique part. I think you have done a good job with the likeness. I don't know if it is the scan or my monitor but the browns just don't seem warm enough to me. I'm seeing some depth of color in the reference photo that I'm not seeing in the painting. A little golden orange highlight here or there.
