Thanks so much guys!!!

I heard the good news couple of weeks back, but was kinda embarassed to mention it. Felt bad for Beth cuz she wanted to pop the news but I asked her to wait. Now that I'm here, I can show off then and say I also got finalist for 'angelina'.

What was real cool was that the same week I won a Winsor Newton award for 'ling' at the Ridgewood Art Center in Jersey. I think I might also be in the second "How Did You Paint That" from International Artist Magazine that came out this week.

Before anyone thinks my head might grow, I'm really starting to hate the shirt on my recent pastel, so that'll keep me grounded.

I don't think my drawing was one of the best technically, but I think it was one of the only that made eye contact so it must have been the emotion thing. Either way, the money will help pay some bills.

Thanks again everyone and to Terri for starting it.

This is terrific news , Jimmie! If it were up to me, you'd have won first place by a comfortable margin. Your work really has a "Voice". (That's the part that nobody can teach you.)

John

Jimmie - Is that an International Artist How did You Paint That - book? Or one of their magazine articles?

Thanks Michele, Mike and John.

Yeah, the book. I did all the paper work involved and submitted it to them, but my name does'nt show on the website as an author. I contacted the editor and she said it is included, the website is a mistake. Just to try to put my mind at ease, I counted the names listed, but they already have 100, which makes me think I was'nt included. I'll have to wait and see.

Seem Jimmie we must have been connected at the hip at one point in the universe - not because of talent "I'm not worthy"! - but because, I too am Charlie Brown!

You'll get your recognition! We'll be spreading the word anyway!

Jimmie - I have a landscape in their How Did You...Flowers & Gardens. They had the book advertised on the website for a long time with a list of authors - but the authors were from a previous book - so I was confused also. Just an unclear system maybe. Don't fret - if the editor says you are there then you are I'm sure.
