Ilaria Rosselli Del Turco Juried Member Joined: Apr 2004 Location: London,UK Posts: 640	I am afraid you need that RSG layer to protect and stiffen the linen fibres. You could use an acrylic size, but I tried it and didn't like it. Also I found the canvas would slack once the size was dry.
