My TV series "You Can Draw!" now on DVD

I am pleased to announce that my 13 episode TV series "You Can Draw!" which aired on Oregon Public Broadcasting this year is now available as a set on four DVDs, or individually. You can only order directly from me.

I draw a complete portrait each episode in pencil, charcoal or pastel with a live model. It is three-way split screen showing the model, the board, and yours truly. The board view is directly over the drawing so that a viewer could follow along line for line. One episode, I draw four six-minute portraits. Each episode I also give a little demonstration of basic drawing techniques, including "line first" and the "primary method" of learning to draw.

I have not distributed them anywhere yet, other than through the ad on the series itself. However, I am in the process of getting national distribution of the TV series through NETA, the national public broadcasting distributor. I received a call from Bob Pettz, the director, requesting a screening of my work. I am hopeful!

Lon,

I followed your efforts to get this off the ground and applaud your success. I'm eager to see how it came together, but I'm not sure that I've figured out the ordering process. Shall I just make a request via email?

Ordering

Yes! Or call me at 1-877-4drawing. Or log on to my website and go to DVDs. Thank you, Steven!

I think it best not to sell and quote prices here.

The pleasure was mine

I had the pleasure of meeting Lon to day at his studio in Eugene!!!

I found this wonderful, warm, friendly man in the midst of the most extraordinary work. His drawings and oil paintings show an incredible gift.

I'm sure the DVD set will be a great learning tool. I can't wait to view them.

Thank you Lon for your hospitality.
