Thanks Allan for sharing.
I'm not sure what a Stable tool is, but basically what you're saying is that you use your thumbs and the Stable tool, to get a drum-tight canvas? Sounds pretty amazing to me.

Sorry Marcus, this was just one of my usual misspellings, I should have said STAPLE. You know, those small clamps that you see on the pictures of the corner. I find it easier to use than a hammer and nails.

About stretching.
You will find excellent advises if you look for the post: " Stretching Pre-Primed Canvas" by Garth Herrick.
