Linda, I saw your painting at the fair last Saturday! It's wonderful! Steven was right; it caused traffic jams! Congratulations!

It's gorgeous! I am in love with the color scheme. I am a huge fan of those warm, Fall colors.

Twice now I've painted a portrait of my son, twice they've been accepted at the State Fair competition, and twice now the paintings have been purchased by collectors. I think I should ust stick to painting my kid!
I shoud have mentioned this earlier, and now it's kinda embarrassing to bring it up, but the painting is done in a spring setting. You may see the dandiliions in the field. The colors in the original is less intense than how it look online, and apologize that I didn't clarif y this from the first comment.
my bad

Oh, fer . . .
Well, as "they" say in Minnesota: "Whatever."
They can still be autumn colors, even if it's spring. Since those seasons bookend the frozen tundra season up here, one set of colors coming in is just the other set going out.

Congratulations, Linda! Haven't seen you posting here much lately. What other masterpieces have you been cooking up?

Steven - very true ...except for about two weeks of visual grandeur in each, our falls and springs look exactly the same.
Michele - they say life is an uphill battle, but frankly, this year has felt like a near vertical climb. This 'Mom-Daughter-Wife-Artist-Entrepreuneur-42... Wait-Oh-My-God-I'm "middle-age"!'- person has been very hard to balance this year. It's all working well (except for the weight gain) but I Literally have not had time to even say hi, nor even organize any of the digital files of my work.
Everyone - thanks and best wishes to you
I miss being part of the group, but I hope to say hi more this fall.

Hi Linda,
I would like to congratulate you as well. I had not seen this painting before and have to say that I just love the color scheme and the refreshing pose. You did a wonderful job and the award is well deserved.
