Thanks for having this essay here, Wang.
Now i know more about his life, other than the legend that i heard about him when i was just starting out as an artist...that he came to the US, with only his luggage and 5USD in his pocket!!

Thank you Lim:
Yi in the name of Chen Yifei means leisurelyness. (Fei--to fly), but he worked too hard.

HI Schubert,
So it seems, as his name implies...Yi, with reference to his gallivanting ways with models, and Fei also referring to his destiny to soar to great heights in his career. You're right that he has worked too hard; without it, he wouldn't have fei-ed (soared)
I wonder if anyone in the US will do a memorial service for him? He has quite an extensive network there after all...

Hi Marcus:
See his pictures:
http://b5.chinanews.sina.com/bbs/ima.../0412/226.html
Yi means: 1. easy , leisure; 2. flee, escape; 3. lost ; 4. excel. those words contain some of his secrets of great success.

Hi Schubert,
Thanks for letting learn more about him. Unfortunately the link didn't work; but i'm glad he's being remembered and sent off in a grander manner.
