Thank you Beth and Carlos.

I tried to paint it on copper, but found it too slippery, so I could not get started. I guess it needs a sort of priming, or etching, to get a tooth. So I painted on a wooden board primed in light brown oil.

My first concern was to find out how he build it up. If he used an under painting? But in this case I don
