Hi, Hanna,

I haven't been around for a while myself, so perhaps I haven't missed any of your posts. These are very lovely and evocative, which is not surprising, given the quality of pastels you've shown us in the past.

Your transition to oils is not only successful, but it's obvious that you're having fun with them, which makes the pictures all the more fun for the viewer.

By the way, while waiting for the paint to dry enough for a final varnish, you can even out the gloss/matte variations with a light spray of retouch varnish. If you can't find it locally in a spray can, there are various types of aspirators or other devices to convert liquid retouch varnish into a mist.
