Angel with black hair

This is done on a grey Canson MiTeintes 50 x 65 cm paper with mostly Rembrandt Soft pastels.

It is not a commission, just a practice-piece inspired by the cover of Norah Jones CD "Come Away With Me".

It's hard to comment on this piece, not knowing what you were striving for. (I'm not familiar with the album cover art you referred to.)

It may be safe and within the realm of "fair use" if you would like to post the album art for comparison. Copyright law sometimes stipulates that it is "fair use" of an image if it is used just for teaching/learning purposes. I'm no expert on copyright law, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

(You may already know this but you should be aware that you should not ever try to sell or even exhibit an image that is copied from another original piece. If you'd like more information on this topic, search "copyright" on the forum.)

Not a copy

Hi Michele,

Please excuse a short reply in defense of Hannah's painting, for I am typing with one finger, since I have broken my middle finger (on my dominant left hand - no painting!)

I have this CD and Hannah's picture is not a copy.

Hannah, lovely, lovely - looks like Norah!

A Jones fan,
Denise
