Very nice job with the drawing, the picture shows good use of value and delineation of form. I can't comment on color as the picture is probably not an accurate depiction of your work. The expression is warm and inviting. Do you work primarily in pastels? If so, I would encourage you to study the work of Harley Brown, he even has a book out which is really good.

My advice would be to play with edges more. Also read Schmid's book: "Alla Prima", it has a chapter about edges which is just fantastic.

The only other thing I can add is good job, and keep painting!
