Hello from Fort Smith, Arkansas
I have been a television artist since 1978 which I continue to enjoy on a limited free-lance basis. I worked before the electronic revolution so I was able to do a little bit of everything. The most challenging was courtroom art. Fortunately, I worked in Oklahoma where there was no shortage of federal court cases. This enabled me to practice on faces and poses for days on end.
I have telecommuted on a full time basis from my home for the past 13 years. During this time, I worked for a production company in NY from a home in Oklahoma City, then Portland, Oregon, now Fort Smith, Arkansas. My wife teaches at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
About 9 months ago I made a serious and concerted return to my painting roots. I have taken workshops, studied anatomy and have focused on drawing.
I have shown my work for the past couple of months. I have not had any portrait commissions yet.
The portrait of my son was a Mothers Day present. I did the one of my wife for practice and to build a portfolio. I worked from an image montage I did from my own photography.
