Announcement of changes re: Exhibition Committee of the Cecilia Beaux Forum


The success of the Exhibition Committee in its goal of initiating a major show of the work of women artist - the first of which will take place at the renowned Butler Institute of American Art in 2010 - has resulted in the need for some changes in organization to facilitate ongoing work. The major task of securing funds for the exhibition, prizes, and peripheral costs will be taken up by a new separate committee, headed by Terry Spinner, formerly Head of the Exhibition Committee. Terry's new committee will function as a bridge between the Forum's Exhibition Committee and the Society's Fundraising Committee headed by Calvin Goodman, but will function separately from them. A call will be going out in the next eNews asking for people interested in helping raise funds for the show at the Butler. Lisa Gleim has been asked, and has graciously agreed, to succeed Terry as the new Head of the Exhibition Committee, effective immediately. Lisa has been an active member of the committee from its inception and is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about its goals and procedures.
