this is a fabulous website and I am very pleased to now be a part of it
.I have always loved doing portraits-even as a young child when I drew it was of people rather than scenes or objects. I have never had any formal art training but I do own dozens of art books, have borrowed every art book I could from the library, have seen tapes by Daniel Greene and Burt Silverman and last spring attended a weeks workshop on Cape Cod with Paul Laveille.
I also belong to several art groups that give an opportunity to share and critique our work.
I have mostly worked with pastel and usually just worked on the head and shoulders but want to expand to include the full or at least more of the body. And I have only recently started oils. I think this site will be of great help to me. There are so many terrific artists here. Just looking at some of the work has already been an inspiration.
I have attached (I hope) 3 pastels of my work.
