The best brush cleaner around!

Hi everyone,

I have stumbled onto the best and cheapest brush cleaner around for oils. I was dismayed to find one of my favorite brushes had fallen into the bottom of my backpack and had hardend to what I thought was beyond repair. I had used a product called "LA's Totally Awesome" and , no I am not making the name up, to clean the grease off of my oven and it had done a remarkable job so I thought why not try it on the neglected brush. I poured some out into a cup and set the brush in it to soak. Two minutes later it was good as new with out any residue at all. I soaked some bristle brushes that had build up on them and it softened them and returned them to white.

I buy this stuff at the local Dollar General store in the cleaning supplies. Some of my students have found it at other Dollar stores as well. It retails for a whopping $1.00 for a spray bottle of 20oz or $3.00 for a gallon. The bottle claims there is no acid, ammonia, or bleach. I use it to get paint out of clothes as well but find it is best to dilute it or it can affect the dye. This works better than any brush cleaner I have ever used.

Just had to share
Vianna
