Hi - I have a painting which kept having spots that needed retouch varnish even after oiling out. Since it needed to go in a show, I used plenty of the Damar retouch, so now it's quite shiny. My question is - I would prefer to use a modern varnish like Gamlin which will not turn as yellow as Damar probably will eventually.
