The value of a critique




Right now, the Critiques section is wide-open as far as who can post comments and this means you could receive comments from artists at many different stages of development. Therefore, it's important that you familiarize yourself with the work and career stature of any person commenting on yours and determine if they are at a level of development where you would want to fully take the advice given.

If the person giving the advice is not a better painter than yourself, those comments might not be as valuable and accurate as those posted by one of the full-time pros. However, there are times when even the less experienced have given some more spot-on observations than a pro. It's up to you to evaluate.
