What do you think of my painting? The portrait is made with Winsor & Newton Artist's Soft Pastel. Do you have some advice for me?

Hi Hulya, I think it's a very striking pastel, well drawn. The way you handled her hair ? Is that your style or were you being painterly? Good work, keep it coming.

No, this is not my style. It's a commissioned portrait and the people wanted the portrait this way. That's why I tried to be painterly.

I like your painting very much, she really looks happy! The high contrasts makes it look a little bit like a very detailed image from a comic-poster or something. You have captured the childly roundness although you

Thank you for the advice. Now I know what I have to work on in my next portrait: I'll try to soften the edges.
