Ilaria,

Congratulations! What can I say that hasn't already been said? It is wonderful that the painting will go on thebook cover. I think it will be a great eye catcher. I hope that your name gets mentioned as the artist somewhere on the dust jacket. What a great exposure for you!

Gorgeous jewel-like colors, Ilaria. I wish I could see your work in person. I'd bet it's a real treat.

Congratulations on the book cover, too. BTW - I'm sure you've already handled this, but, if not - you should not only get attribution as the artist, but also compensation.

I wish I could see these in person, Ilaria. Computer screens just don't do justice to paintings. These look beautiful.

Ilaria, a big congratulations on your book cover! I think the unfinished quality will read very well on a small scale. And I'm sure you will not overwork the painting, just work on the couple of things that are bugging you. I'm so happy for you!

Ilaria, these are wonderful paintings and such strong expressions of your personal fresh, bold, colorful style! David used the word "openness" - which sounds exactly right.

Thanks for going into detail about your experiences of working on-site. You are fearless, good for you! I am watching you like a hawk to see how you are managing these.

Remind me to hire you as my portrait artist when I am over eighty.
