Workshop Portrait from Las Vegas

I wasn't sure where to post this since it is not done, however I was eager to post this painting! the two week workshop in Las Vegas was very very rewarding. I cannot wait to get into my studio to finish this painting.

This was done completely from life and has about two whole days of painting after the initial wash in.

Thanks for looking. I have not slept in two day as I came back home on the red eye. So I am barely functioning but happy as can be!!!

Patricia, this is really exceptional work. You should work from life more often (we all should!) - it obviously agrees with you. Truly impressive!!

Dear Pat,

Very lovely!

I moved this into " Member Portraits from Life" although it could easily go into the Workshop Discussion area. Just let me know

Wow!

Patricia, this is absolutely exquisite! I can tell you loved this workshop. More details, please. I have been watching your progress and your venture into oils. I am also taking up oils and hope to get comfortable enough to attend a workshop. I can't imagine producing something as fine as this, but your portrait is certainly a great advertisement for the workshop!

You are doing super!!!

This is wonderfully painted, Pat! I see lots of beautiful things going on here, especially in the edges and values. I'm glad you had such a good time in Vegas!

Pat this is great! Was this Marvin Mattelson's workshop? It looks like it was really successful for you, congratulations!

Pat, this painting really grabs me. I love how you caught a certain expression in the model, also the vibrant colors and the apparent simplicity of the facial structure. Beautiful!
