Liquin will facilitate fast drying at least as well as anything else, and will probably not cause problems as long as you don't use too much of it. This is true of any medium, not just Liquin. Too much medium in the paint will make for a weaker paint film. Glazing is best accomplished by making the overpaint/glaze/scumble physically thin by scrubbing it on with a stiff, hog-bristle brush, rather than thinning it with medium. For maximum transparency, choose pigments which are by nature transparent. Paint with paint, not with medium, if you care what your pictures will look like in 200 years.
