Latest pastel of Don Johnson

Okay, here's the very latest of my portraits and I'd appreciate some feedback from the brilliant artists on this site. I won't waste anyones time with the stuff I did years ago, in fact after this one I'll keep my postings to an absolute minimum. I really am serious about wanting to become a portrait artist, I'm 40 years old next month and would love to change my career and take up portraiture as a full time job (fed up with getting up at 4am and delivering mail!) So many people at the office have told me that I'm shouldn't be there and how marvellous my pictures are, but it's always nice to hear it from someone who knows what they're talking about! Sorry if I came across as a silly timewaster yesterday, but let me assure you that is definately NOT my intention. I respect your time and opinions. Mark Lane.

Hello Mark, visually exciting portrait of Don Johnson (popular in the UK?).. main concern is positioning and shape of the mouth, which takes away from a more 'accurate' resemblance.. his mouth is slightly lower and at a different angle that what you have on the portrait.. check the photo. In spite of that, it IS recognizable as the rogue Don and, as I said, visually exciting.
