Arild Rosenkrantz

Hi everyone, I would like to share this new homepage with you all.

The artist lived at a nearby castle called ROSENHOLM and I have known his pictures from I started Primary School . One of his pictures decorated the Hall.

He was trained as a traditional artist in England and Rome. Later he became acquainted with Rudolf Steiner / Goethe and developed the Rainbow Palette used by the Steiner Schools ewer since.

Much fascinating stuff on the homepage.

Note his pastels !

Allan, as I looked at these I heard Grieg's "Hall of the Mountain King" playing in my head.

Allan, thank you for sending us to this site. It's fascinating work. I especially liked his "Dutchess" painting and how he has painted her as she is about to get up from her chair. (In fact, I think I'll steal this idea someday.)

Thanks, Allan:
There was only one Velasquez. After about 200 years of his death, a group of artists, Repin, Sargent and others carried his torch, developed further.
