question What do paintings want?

Paintings want variety.

When you see a work of art that is visually interesting, it will often have lots of variety in the color temperatures. Warm light will throw cool shadows. Cool light will often cause warm shadows. Life and nature are like this. Having a painting ring of life means rich color temperature ranges. Yellows/purples/reds/greens, etc. will create excitement. If it's not what paintings want exactly, it's often what they want for.

I wanted to be sure I was not inconsiderate, so I asked my paintings today what they wanted.

They stated that they all just wanted a good home, preferably with a nice wealthy family who will provide them with blood-related siblings later on.
